Rotary Potentiometers

A potentiometer is a variable resistor which has the ability to regulate or change the flow of a current through a circuit. Rotary potentiometers can be controlled easily by turning a knob or spindle. They are available as either single or multiturn.

The main features of our rotary potentiometers include single or multi-turn, theoretically infinite resolution, simple mounting, easy installation and outstanding linearity and repeatability.

Rotary position sensors are used across all industries, with one well-known application being a volume dial on an amp or other electrical device. In this instance, the sensor would be a single turn potentiometer, with the position of the dial determining the voltage within the circuit and therefore the volume of the music/instrument.
